Markets for Writers

When I started this section of the site, I had only three criteria in mind:

  1. the publication must be based in Canada;
  2. the publication must have online writers' guidelines; and
  3. the publication must pay its writers actual money (as opposed to stamps, copies, or a generous byline).

Beyond that, I tried to present a diverse array of markets to suit every taste and talent.

You'll find payments vary widely--from $5 to full royalties--as do the rights being purchased. You're the only one who can decide if the publication is offering you fair deal.
